Puffins Galore! is a wonderful parade of 40 colourful, artist decorated Puffin sculptures, standing proudly 1.5ms tall creating colourful beacons in the landscape on the East Yorkshire coast. With its brightly coloured bill, striking black and white plumage, orange legs and comical waddle, the Puffin is a seabird beloved by many - and a big draw for visitors to the east coast around Flamborough.
Puffins Galore! will use this special magnetism to encourage even more visitors to the whole of the East Yorkshire coast. The public art event is modelled on the hugely successful and award winning Hull and East Riding trails – ‘Larkin with Toads’ and ‘A Moth for Amy’. From July to November this year, forty Puffins will delight people of all ages as they search for them from Bempton and Flamborough in the north to Spurn Point in the south, and at towns and cities inland.
Our MD, Pam Wainman is a huge puffin fan so was very excited to get involved and sponsor one of the colourful seabirds and we cant wait to see it in the sunshine on the East Yorkshire coast. We will unveil our special puffin over the coming months so keep your eyes peeled for more puffin news! And you can find out more about Puffins Galore at the website: www.puffinsgalore.co.uk
